On 10 August 2009 Promat (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Promat) and Omahams Corporation Sdn Bhd (Omahams Corp) signed an Memorandum of Understanding  that also marked the official  appointment of Omahams Corp as its exclusive distributor for all its marine products and systems in Malaysia.

Promat is a global conglomerate based in Belgium  and the manufacturer of a wide range of fire preventing and retardant boards for buildings, tunnels and ships.

Currently Promat and Omahams Corp will focus on evaluating and promoting the fire retardant boards to potential end-users primarily from the defense force and the marine sector of the market.

With the backing of such an overwhelming and renowned global name in the fire prevention sector, Omahams Corp is set to embark on a major marketing and promotional blitz in the hope of making an impact in the effort to make life safer on board ships and sea-going vessels in the marine sector in the very near future.
