JOTUN’S MARINE PROTECTIVE COATINGS – a global brand

JOTUN (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD (Jotun) is the manufacturer of Jotun Marine Protective Coatings used in sea-going vessels, both commercial and defense force throughout the world. It is also the manufacturer of decorative paints which currently is one of the leading household brands in Malaysia.

Omahams Corp has been associated with Jotun since March 2007 when it was appointed as consultants largely assisting Jotun to make fresh headways into the supply of marine coatings to the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN). The company is still acting as its consultants until the present day.

Subsequently in August of 2008, Omahams Corp was awarded the Ministry of Defense of the Government of Malaysia, a supply contract to supply and deliver Jotun brand marine protective coatings and paints to the RMN for a 3-year period ending 2011. Since then Omahams Corp has been the official agent and distributor of Jotun marine protective paints to the RMN.

Meanwhile the company has been entrusted to develop further business with the RMN, this time in decorative paints by Jotun. Initial works on complying with the normal procedures are under-way. First delivery of Jotun decorative paints is expected to materialize by mid 2010.
